Hello, creative friends!
What a beautiful season of creativity, connection, and community we’ve been having here at The Secret Spot!
Since opening our doors in May, we’ve watched this little creative space grow into something pretty special. From our nine-week summer art camp to weekly workshops, community collaborations, and new faces gathering around our tables, we’re reminded every day why we started this adventure.
And we’re just getting started!
🎨 HERE’S WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO
Creating together!
Our Tuesday creative workshops with Chloe have brought everything from pop art and pet portraits to fun, experimental projects. We love watching people arrive as strangers and leave with artwork, inspiration, and new friendships.
Little Homies is growing!
Our Thursday homeschool art program continues to welcome young creators of all ages. With dedicated sessions for elementary, middle, and high school students, we’re creating space for kids to explore, experiment, and express themselves.
We’re also an approved Step Up for Students provider!
Not Your Average Book Club!
Our Literacy Society has been getting out of the studio and into the community! From reading A Land Remembered to exploring local history during our Side Quests, we’re discovering that storytelling doesn’t have to stay between the pages.
And let’s not forget Poetry Night, where words, creativity, and conversation come together.
🎶 OFF THE RECORD: A COMMUNITY CREATIVE CHALLENGE
We’re calling all artists, makers, and creative thinkers!
Our newest community art contest, OFF THE RECORD, invites you to transform an old vinyl record into something entirely original.
Paint it. Sculpt it. Stitch it. Reinvent it.
All mediums and experience levels are welcome!
Finished artwork due October 30
Opening reception November 6, 5–8 PM
Community exhibition and voting throughout November
Exhibition continues through December 30
